The Teal Psychology Space delivers group programs for clients and workshops for organisations, education institutions, and clinical psychology masters programs. These programs and workshops are focused on Autism and ADHD, and can include how to highlight strengths and accommodate challenges for neurodivergent people.

September 2026: Training in Canberra
Understanding Autism
When: Thursday 17 September 2026, 6:00 - 7:30 pm.
Where: In-person presentation/course, Canberra, ACT (address will be provided).
Who: Practioners who want to learn about Autism and meet other people with similar professional interests.
Cost: $60 (incl. GST).
This training course is for practitioners (e.g., psychologists, counsellors, social workers, mental health workers, GPs, OTs, psychiatrists, etc.) who want to understand Autism. Particpants will:
Understand Autism and the different ways it presents.
Learn about the 5S Framework of Autism and how to use it to:
Screen for Autism when working with clients
Help Autistic clients to understand their Autistic strengths, characteristics, and needs
Teach Autistic clients how to regulate their nervous system when experiencing Autistic overwhlem
Support Autistic clients to increase their capacity for functioning
Support Autistic clients to prevent Autistic burnout
Improve neurodiversity-affirming practice
Past Practitioner Course
Understanding Autism and Autistic Burnout using the 5-S Framework of Autism.
Online live presentation on 3 and 17 August 2024, 10:00 am to 2:30 pm (3.5 hours of content, 30 minutes of questions, 30 minutes break). **video of presentations will be available after each session.
This training course is for practitioners (e.g., psychologists, GPs, OTs, psychiatrists, etc.) who would like to understand the DSM-5-TR diagnostic criteria for Autism in the context of current research, and to identify and differentiate Autistic burnout. The 5-S Framework of Autism will be presented. This course is Stage 1, and Stage 2 will focus on working therapeutically with Autistic burnout.
